About Wyld Peak
An outdoor brand built outside, not in a boardroom
Wyld Peak is an independent outdoor brand with New Zealand roots, honest hiking guides and gear made for life beyond the screen.
We make outdoor clothing, hiking graphic tees, hoodies, windbreakers, hats, reusable bottles, patches, stickers, dog accessories and digital trail guides.
Some of it is practical. Some of it has more bite. A few designs involve cryptids that probably shouldn’t be trusted near your campsite.
The idea behind it all is simple: make things people will actually wear and use, then share outdoor advice that helps them make better calls before heading out.
No copied trail descriptions. No pretending a cotton shirt is alpine gear. No turning every short walk into a spiritual awakening.
Just useful gear, honest information and enough character to stop Wyld Peak becoming another beige outdoor brand.
What does Wyld Peak make?
Wyld Peak sits between everyday outdoor clothing, trail-to-town streetwear and the smaller things that make your gear feel like your own.
The range includes outdoor graphic tees, hiking shirts, hoodies, lightweight windbreakers, hats, reusable bottles, hiking patches, weather-resistant stickers and dog accessories.
They’re made for hiking, camping, road trips, national park days, travel and everyday life. Some belong on the trail. Others are better for the drive there, camp afterwards or the days when getting outside means walking the dog before dark.
You’ll find clean outdoor designs alongside stranger ideas inspired by wildlife, national parks, old trail signs, cryptids and the rougher edges of outdoor culture.
We don’t pretend every product suits every trip.
A ringspun cotton tee can be great for camp, travel, short walks and everyday wear. It can also be the wrong choice for a cold, wet backcountry route.
A lightweight windbreaker can take the edge off the breeze. It isn’t a fully waterproof alpine shell.
A patch can make your backpack feel more like yours. It won’t make the load lighter, sadly.
Each product page covers the fit, materials, features and intended use so you can decide whether it suits the day you actually have planned.
Gear and guides shaped by real days outside
The gear and the Trail Hub have always belonged together.
Time outside has a way of showing you what actually matters. Which layer you keep reaching for. Which small annoyance starts to wear you down after a few hours. Which bit of online advice sounded useful until the weather turned or the track got harder.
That all feeds back into what we make and what we write.
Our guides cover New Zealand walks, hikes in the USA, trail preparation, outdoor clothing, sun protection, dog hiking, gear care and the sort of lessons that usually come from a day not going quite to plan.
When we’ve walked it ourselves, we’ll say so. When closures, permits, access or safety details matter, we check the latest official information too.
First-hand experience tells you what the day felt like. Current information tells you what to expect when you get there.
Both have their place.
Honest hiking guides, without the brochure talk
Distance and a nice view only tell you so much.
The useful stuff is usually what happens in between. When the easy start begins to bite. Whether the stairs feel worse on the way back. How exposed the track gets when the weather turns. Whether the car park is already chaos by the time you arrive.
And sometimes the real question is simply whether the walk is worth the drive.
Not every track is brilliant from start to finish. Some are worth doing once. Some are much better on a quiet weekday. Some have one great section with a lot of fairly ordinary walking around it.
A place can still be beautiful without being the right walk for your energy, fitness or the kind of day you’re after.
We’re not trying to convince you that every trail belongs on a bucket list. We’d rather give you enough of the real picture to decide for yourself.

Who is behind Wyld Peak?
Wyld Peak was started by Hayden, who still shapes the brand, builds the collections and writes and edits the guides. He also keeps a close eye on anything that starts sounding a little too polished and not quite true.
Around him is a wider mix of creatives, photographers, hikers, artists, veterans, disabled outdoor advocates, travellers, gamers and people who all connect with the outdoors in their own way.
That mix has shaped Wyld Peak from the start.
For some people, adventure is a hard climb and a summit. For others, it’s a forest walk, a long road trip, a slow afternoon outside or the first decent hike after a rough stretch.
None of those count for less.

What Wyld Peak stands for
We believe public land should stay public, wild places are worth defending and the outdoors should feel open to more than the fastest, fittest or best equipped.
We also don’t do greenwashing, fake urgency or carefully sand every opinion down until there’s nothing left to stand behind.
When something matters, we’ll say so. Quite publicly, at times.
That same honesty runs through the rest of Wyld Peak. We describe products as they are, write hiking guides for people actually planning a day outside and pay attention to what gets used long after the campaign photos are done.
The best gear earns its place by being reached for again and again.
Good advice should do the same.
Does Wyld Peak care about sustainability?
Yes, but we’re not going to pretend one recycled fabric or planted tree wipes the slate clean.
A tree is planted with every completed order. Selected products use organic, recycled or lower-impact materials where stated, and many items are made after they’re ordered, which helps avoid piles of unwanted stock.
There’s still an impact from manufacturing, packaging and shipping. We’d rather be clear about that, keep improving where we can and show the real details than paint the whole catalogue green.

Is Wyld Peak legit?
Yes. Wyld Peak is a real independent outdoor brand, run by real people and built over years of products, hiking guides and customer orders.
You can meet the team, read customer reviews, check the sizing, shipping and returns information or contact us directly. The details are there so you can decide whether a product is right for you without having to take our word for it.
Trust isn’t built by saying “trust us.” It comes from being clear, showing up and doing what you said you would.

Who is Wyld Peak for?
Wyld Peak is for people who like the outdoors without needing to make a performance out of it.
Weekend hikers, national park people, dog walkers, campers, road-trippers, patch collectors and anyone who feels a little more like themselves after getting outside.
Fast walkers, slow walkers and people who stop halfway because the view is already good enough all count.
You don’t need the best gear in the car park or a summit photo to prove the day mattered.
You just need a reason to go.
Where to start
If you’re here for the gear, head straight to Trail-Ready Gear. That’s where you’ll find outdoor clothing and accessories made for real use, not just good lighting.
Buying for someone else? Gifts for Hikers and Outdoor Lovers saves you from trying to guess their boot size, pack setup or very specific opinions about camp stoves.
For honest walk guides, trail notes and practical outdoor advice, step into the Trail Hub. You’ll find New Zealand hikes, trails across the USA, gear guides and the details that actually matter once the car is parked and the day starts properly.

Start with the gear. Stay for the trails. Find something that gets you outside.
Built outside, not in a boardroom.
Still the filter. Still the point.

from 135 reviewsBrought this tee as one of my first buys.. it was one of the BEST buys! Along with other Wyld Peak clothing.

Time I order more!
I’ve been wanting this design in simple black and white for me and my son. The tee arrived so fast and is really comfortable and soft. The design is unique and i love it. I actually picked up two!
Good quality and feel to it. Looks amazing!
Quick delivery; looks better in person!
Really well made!
Love my purple tee! The fabric is soft & light weight. Super comfortable! Will order another in a different colour! Highly recommend! 😃
Yet another awesome patch. A little smaller than I anticipated but that's on me. But it will go amazing on my jacket. Can't wait until I have all of my patches and it all comes together. Thank you for helping me with this project!

Hayden was the best! Very helpful! Pleasure to do business with!
No complaints. Looks great on the item had the patch applied to. Well made. As described. Would recommend
I keep it on my phone and check it before heading out. Takes two minutes and saves a lot of second-guessing. Worth it if you hike even occasionally.
Great patch, high quality, and arrived quickly!
