Wyld Peak makes and ships products. That has an environmental impact.

Planting trees, choosing different materials and producing selected items after they are ordered can improve parts of that picture. None of those things makes a purchase impact-free, and we won’t pretend they do.

Our approach is to make specific choices, explain what they actually mean and stay honest about the parts that still need work.

What we currently do

For every completed order, Wyld Peak funds the planting of one tree through a reforestation programme.

Selected products use organic cotton, recycled fibres or other lower-impact materials where the individual product specification confirms it.

Some apparel is produced after it is ordered, which can reduce unsold inventory and unnecessary overproduction.

Materials, manufacturing locations and fulfilment routes vary between products. The exact details belong on the product page rather than beneath one sweeping claim about the entire store.

We don’t claim to be carbon neutral, impact-free or perfect for the planet.

One tree with every completed order

Every completed Wyld Peak order funds one tree.

That is a real action, but it isn’t a carbon offset and it doesn’t erase the environmental cost of manufacturing, packaging or delivery.

Tree planting also isn’t automatically useful just because a seedling enters the ground. The project, location, species, long-term care and local ecology all matter.

That is why this page should show the programme behind the claim rather than asking you to trust a green badge.

Materials are product-specific

Wyld Peak doesn’t use one material across the whole catalogue.

Depending on the product, you may find organic cotton, standard cotton, cotton blends, recycled polyester, polyamide or other product-specific materials.

We only describe something as organic or recycled when the product specification supports that claim. A hoodie, windbreaker, patch, bottle and sticker clearly don’t share the same material story.

The individual listing is the source of truth for:

  • Fabric or material composition
  • Fit and weight
  • Care instructions
  • Production information
  • Intended use

Cotton can feel comfortable and wear well for everyday use, travel, camp and lighter walks. It also dries more slowly than many technical synthetic or merino fabrics.

No material wins every argument. The right one depends on the day.

What we are working to improve

There is still more to do.

Our priorities include making tree-planting records easier to verify, improving product-level material information, reviewing older environmental language, reducing unnecessary packaging where fulfilment partners allow it and giving customers better care guidance.

We will also keep removing claims that sound stronger than the proof behind them.

Progress is more useful when people can see where it starts, where it stops and what comes next.

What you can do before buying

Start with what you genuinely need or know you will use.

Check the material, measurements and care instructions rather than relying only on the collection title.

Choose the product that fits the conditions rather than the one making the loudest promise.

Wash it according to the care label. Repair it when that makes sense. Pass it on when it no longer fits your life.

None of that is dramatic.

It is still better than treating every purchase as disposable.

Why doesn’t Wyld Peak call everything eco-friendly?

Because the phrase is too broad to be useful without evidence.

We would rather tell you the actual material, process or action involved and let you decide how much it matters.

The honest version

Wyld Peak isn’t impact-free.

We plant one tree with every completed order, make selected products after they are purchased and use organic or recycled materials where the specification supports it.

Those are better choices. They aren’t a free pass.

The work is to keep improving them, show the proof and stay honest when the answer is less tidy than the marketing version.
