Getting Up Is Only Half the Job

Standing on top feels pretty good. Then you look at the trail winding back down, notice the clouds shifting and remember you've still got several miles to go. Summit photos rarely show that bit.

The Summit Is Optional T-Shirt gives the descent some credit. The front print combines a stormy alpine ridgeline, orange route markings and a descending hiker with the words “The Summit Is Optional. Getting Down Isn't.” Underneath, one last reminder: “The Mountain Isn't Done With You.”

It's a Colorado 14ers-inspired graphic tee for camping weekends, road trips, easy walks and the days between bigger hikes. This is casual outdoor clothing rather than technical mountain gear. For cold, wet or exposed conditions, choose your layers around the weather, not the artwork.

Check the Fit Before You Order

This T-shirt has a regular fit and comes in sizes XS through 5XL. Compare the size guide with a T-shirt you already own and like, especially if you're between sizes or particular about how your shirts fit through the shoulders and body.

Choose from Charcoal, Navy, Black, Military Green, Maroon, Heather Indigo, Sand and Heather Galapagos Blue.
